The commercial terms every engagement runs on. The signed agreement governs; this page is the plain-language summary.
Engagement and scope
The Portfolio Office is a studio of Offlux, and Offlux is the party you contract with. Work begins only after a written agreement setting out scope, session count, deliverables, and schedule is signed by both sides. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer or a contract.
Fees and instalments
Fees are quoted after the consultation and are split into instalments across the engagement rather than paid up front. The schedule is in the agreement.
Rescheduling and missed sessions
A session moved with at least 24 hours’ notice is rescheduled at no cost. Inside 24 hours, or if you do not attend, the session counts as delivered. The signed agreement states this in the same words.
No guarantee of admission
Admission depends on factors no studio controls. I make no representation, express or implied, that any student will be admitted to any programme. Any party promising you a specific school is either misinformed or lying.
Intellectual property
You retain copyright in everything you make. I retain copyright in my teaching materials, templates, and written critiques. Neither side may publish the other's material without written permission.
Governing law
New York law, unless the signed agreement says otherwise.
